- Go out to a local bar or buy your beverages at the grocery store and celebrate at the complex.
- Go off on your own or we can help arrange excursions for shopping, viewing Maya ruins, snorkeling, diving, golf, or whatever you and your guests want. Ask us about massage, private yoga, or other services.

Start as your family and friends sit (or stand) in chairs on the grass overlooking
the lagoon to the jungle beyond. They can hear the waves breaking on the nearby reef
as they listen to your special music: either live or recorded.
While our most popular location is on the grass overlooking the lagoon, there are other options within the complex.
Walk down the grass on a straw-mat pathway and join the wedding party at the end of the lawn with an archway framing the lagoon. It is your day and Casa Romero offers one of the most romantic spots that you will ever find.

- You can have a more formal ceremony in the Great Room, either with traditional seating arrangements into aisles, or a semi-circle facing the large patio doors so the lagoon is the backdrop.
- If your group is not large, you can all gather right on the edge of the lagoon in a totally natural setting.

with the arrangements at any one of several options from a few blocks away to a short ride up
or down the road.

Wedding Coordinator
Meet Jennifer: She plans and coordinates many weddings in the Akumal
area each year and knows the property as well as anyone. She is
the person who can find just the right people and just the right services
for your time in Akumal.
Concierge Services
While you may just want to "wing it" on your own, you may want support from
a knowledgeable, well connected person who can coordinate other activities. From shopping
excursions, getting provisions (food and liquor), to guided or unguided visits to local
attractions, she will see that your transportation and other needs are met.
Bands, Musicians, and DJ's
You can bring your own, or we can find just the right group for you. We
can provide recommendations, references and, in some cases, some recorded
music to help you choose.
Photographers and Videographers
Critically important to your long term memories, choosing a photographer or
videographer is a very personal decision. Some parties bring their own
favorites while others look to more local
services. We can introduce you to skilled local professionals so that you can
be sure to have a comfort level and confidence that you will get the lasting
images that you deserve.
Catering
This one is easy: we recommend Turtle Bay Bakery and Café. Not only
do they have some of the best food in the area, they have all of the staff,
equipment, and supplies to meet your every need. Sit down with the owners
to build your menu within your budget.
Dive Master
While most weddings do not need their own Dive Master, Akumal was founded by
divers and area diving is special. Although there are three dive shops in
Akumal, we recommend having your own Dive Master who will focus exclusively
on your group. Meet Natalie and Ivan: from new divers to experienced
divers, they will customize your excursions to what you want and your level
of expertise.

Arrive on a Saturday or Sunday, spend a little time on your own getting to know the property and the area. Then, starting on Monday, you will meet the professionals who are available to ensure great memories of your week in paradise.
Have your own wedding planner? No problem, bring your team: remember, we are here to help, not to tell you what you need!
Meet the staff, sample the food at several restaurants, have a massage at your townhouse, go snorkeling, just relax, or visit some of the area attractions. Take your time and think about the possibilities for your celebrations.
By the time you leave, you should have a pretty good idea of what you will want (or at least your options). We will do our best to see that you have all of the prices so that there are no last minute "ugly surprises".
Then, stay in touch via phone and e-mail, and we will see that everything is ready for your special week.
